HEATHLAND

HEATHLAND

A large atmospheric mid century Scandinavian landscape of open fields and grey boulders beneath a brooding, cloud-filled sky. Painted in blocky, confident strokes, the palette is beautifully muted, slate blues, sage and olive greens lifted by warm patches of ochre and terracotta across the land. Its wide, panoramic format and quiet, moody tones makes it a real statement piece.

Oil on panel in original gold gilt frame with linen slip.

Signed by listed Swedish artist Sture Haglundh (1908-1978).

Frame Dimensions: 75 x 48 cm
