Signed Gertrud de Val-Liner and dated 1937.

Gertrud de Val-Linér (1899 to 1993) was a Swedish painter trained at Althin's painting school and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, where she studied from 1927 to 1931. She exhibited at Liljevalchs konsthall in 1935 and is recorded in Svenskt konstnärslexikon. Still life was her principal subject, and she signed her work 'G. de Val.'
