A beautiful mid-century oil painting of a Scandinavian forest clearing, worked in thick palette knife impasto. Tall pine trunks frame a sparse spruce against a pale sky, with granite boulders, moss and sage green undergrowth giving way to a shaded forest floor.

Note: On the back, there is a label from Nybloms Panna and a handwritten text that reads "Smålandsdrömmar!". There is also a date 1937 and the text Zinktoft 1938.
