A wonderful signed mid-century still life oil painting of garden flowers, painted in thick, expressive brushstrokes with a rich autumnal palette. Marigolds, dahlias and zinnias in shades of burnt orange, yellow and deep crimson spill from a dark green jug, with a crisp white cloth catching the light. Wonderfully textured, with that loose, confident handling so typical of Swedish post-war painting.
