LILY POND

LILY POND

A beautiful autumnal river landscape of a still, reed-fringed pond beneath a stand of trees just turning to amber, rust and gold. The artist works in soft, broken impressionistic brushwork, with dappled light falling across the bank, lily pads scattered on the water and a hazy blue horizon under warm, peach-tinged clouds.

Oil on canvas in original gold gilt frame.

Signed by unknown artist.

Frame Dimensions: 48.5 x 69.5cm

Condition: There is a large chip in the bottom right of the frame as seen in photos and reflected in the price. If you would like to have this piece reframed send me a message here.
