A wonderfully expressive vintage landscape oil painting capturing a sweeping view across rolling green valleys and dense Scandinavian woodland. A barn nestles among the fields, giving the composition a quiet focal point and a sense of rural scale. Layered hills stretch toward a hazy horizon beneath a soft, painterly sky.
Worked in thick, gestural brushstrokes and a vivid palette of fresh greens, deep forest blues, and earthy ochres, the painting has all the energy and immediacy of mid century Scandinavian modernism. The loose, confident handling suggests an artist painting directly from the landscape, capturing mood as much as place.
Oil on board signed by unknown Swedish artist.
